Description
In addition to planning and producing small-scale jewelry creations, Fürbringer also worked as a sculptor. The so-called Möbius strip, a twisted band in which it is impossible to distinguish between top and bottom or between inside and outside, plays a central role in his work. Numerous rings and bracelets take up this form.
in 1989, he was commissioned to create a work by the guild E.E. Zunft zu Hausgenossen, to which he himself belonged. For the sculpture group "Table Talk", which shows a speaker, a critical listener and his counterpart, he first made plaster models. The work, made of granite, silver and fine gold, is now often displayed on the festively decorated table at guild events.
