Mosaic jewelry
Description
Multicolored jewelry was one of the special features of Pierre Fürbringer's studio. During his training as a goldsmith, he completed an internship as a gem setter. The fascination he developed during this time for multicolored jewelry inlays became a lifelong theme in his work. For example, he assembled filigree cut and set turquoise, jade or lapis lazuli into multicolored mosaics and staged them as tiny earrings or as a magnificent necklace. One example is the pendant from 1989, which is combined with horsehair to form a necklace. It can be seen here on loan from the guild E.E. Zunft zu Hausgenossen.
