Rock crystal clock
Description
The small rosette-shaped clock is a masterpiece both in the fineness of the movement and the case made of rock crystal. The Chenevière family originally came from the Lyon area. in 1631, they became citizens of Geneva. Several members worked as watchmakers, enamel painters, and probably stone cutters in the "fabrique", which was the name given in Geneva to the collaboration of various craftsmen for the production and sale of watches.
