Inclusive offers

Basel Historical Museum with its 3 houses is committed to barrier-free access, as well as to the encounter and togetherness of people with and without impairments.

Technical equipment is available in all three houses: For guided tours, a microphone and headphones are used (suitable for induction loops), thus significantly improving the acoustics. The media stations are designed for hearing loops (t-loops) throughout.

Our eGuide can be used with both personal mobile devices and our tablets, so many object texts are available in German, English and French (currently only German in the Haus zum Kirschgarten), as are image and sound files. 3D tours, current or past exhibitions and video tours are available on our website. Audio tours are available via app: Download Google Play Store or Apple Store

We strive to offer as many inclusive tours as possible. Unfortunately, this is not yet possible to the full extent. For example, the Haus zum Kirschgarten is not wheelchair accessible. The restrictions are marked in the programme. We would be pleased if you could send us your feedback.
