Description

The chef of the Storchen Hotel in Basel, Monsieur Parey (Barrey), is shown making a "diplomat's dish". The diplomats' preference for excellent cuisine is given an ambiguous meaning by equating it with the mixed composition of a cipolata sausage in the caption ("Un cuisinier distingué, travaillant à la composition du fameux Pouding à la Chipolata (Met diplomatique)").
