Reliquary Cross with Rock Crystal
Description
Reliquary Cross with Rock Crystal
A variety of materials, bright colours, and consummate craftsmanship make this a very fine piece indeed. The rock-crystal capsule on the reverse contains relics of saints Catherine and James the Greater.
Base for a Cross
This base for a cross takes the form of a small domed building with four columns resting on four dragon’s heads with retracted claws. The details are no more than adumbrated, and the foot as a whole crudely cast.
