Porcelain from Nyon and France

Porcelain from Nyon:

Founded in 1781 and existing until 1813, the Nyon manufactory on Lake Geneva was artistically very much based on French models, even though the two founders of the factory came from Berlin and Frankenthal. The very white porcelain ground was decorated with landscapes, figures or simple flowers.

Porcelain from France:

The Vincennes porcelain manufactory, located near Paris in a wing of the royal chateau, existed from 1738 to 1756. With the construction of new manufactory buildings in Sèvres, production was moved there and in 1756 the Royal Porcelain Manufactory, which still exists today, was founded. Until 1772, this manufactory was also able to produce mostly only pâte tendre (soft porcelain). From then on, however, they also produced hard porcelain. This was also true of the numerous smaller manufactories that were established in Paris towards the end of the 18th century, which were often named after the street on which they were located.
