Object 1

Dining table

The table may be one of the few surviving examples of the original furnishings of the Haus zum Kirschgarten. In any case, the simple, elegant decoration of the table, which was modern at the time, with its surrounding carved rosette band on the frame, is entirely in keeping with the classicist style of the architecture. As the ten legs and the divided table top reveal, the table can be transformed as needed: from a semi-circular console table placed against the wall, to a round dining table, to an extended table about 480 cm long.
