The arms of Basel Cathedral Canon Arnold zum Luft-Eberler are blazoned on the lid of this beaker, just as they were on the now lost original dating from the late 15th century.
Replica:
This replica of a now lost covered beaker from Basel Cathedral Treasury was still in private hands as recently as 2001. Note the absence of a coat of arms on the pomegranate on the lid.
