Objekt 34

Coffee pot, milk jug and sugar bowl

Description

For the new luxury drinks coffee, tea and hot chocolate, in the 18th century own types of pots were developed. The shape of these types was often closely related to the beverage. In the case of coffee pots, for example, the bulbous shape with its elongated neck and high spout was intended to prevent the coffee grounds from being poured out and drunk together with the coffee.
