Carriages and early cars

Vehicles of all kinds have always fascinated children. Their mobility during play, as well as their equivalence to adult vehicles, is what makes them so appealing. When children have passed the toddler age, mobility alone is no longer enough: After that, it was very important that the carriages (and later the automobiles) corresponded to the current technical standard
Even when children's parlors of the Biedermeier period were depicted, a carriage of some kind was almost never missing among the toys depicted. They characterize the boy's toy, as, on the other hand, the play kitchen characterizes the girl.
