Travel - A child's game: Modern forms of travel

Technological development is reflected in the world of games. In travel games, the traditional methods of locomotion of carriage and train are now replaced by hot air balloons and cars as game pieces. The confident attitude towards technical development leaves little room for doubt: problems with means of transport are no longer game content; apparently effortless and trouble-free routes are mastered.

The jigsaw puzzle, which shows typical representations of European capitals, was a promotional gift from Swissair. Flying is not the subject of the game, but rather the European countries that could be reached with Swissair. Presumably, the small-sized puzzle was given to small passengers during the flight to keep them occupied or as a reward afterwards.
