Description
The enamel painting on the dial shows Judith with the head of Holofernes. On the back of the case, Judith and a servant are depicted with the soothsayer. It is not clear whether the important Dutch Baroque painter Maria van Oosterwyck (1630-1693) is related to the maker of this clock. A similar clock can be seen in one of her still lifes.
