Saint Christopher

Description

Christopher, a man of considerable stature yet staggering under his burden, is captured at the moment when he becomes aware of Christ’s presence on his shoulders. The statuette is masterfully executed right down to such minor details as the knife and purse hanging from his belt. It was given to the Cathedral Treasury by Chaplain Ludwig Mog (d. 1452).
