Psychiatry today

Description

Are mental illnesses a taboo? Is our time making us ill? Do we need psychotropic drugs and what effect do they have? Do we need forced measures? Since its beginnings and to this day, psychiatry has been dealing with questions to which there are no conclusive answers. This is also due to the fact that the social mandate of psychiatry – to heal and to restore order – is ambivalent and sometimes contradictory. In addition, there are different perspectives on many issues. In the interviews, those affected, their relatives and experts have their say and discuss the challenges of today's psychiatry.
