Pipe bowl with view of the Spalentor
Description
This pipe bowl shows the Spalentor in Basel with its magnificent front facing outwards towards the city. The Spalentor is depicted without the tent-shaped roofs on the flanking round towers, which were destroyed in a storm in 1842.
