Panorama from the tower of the parish church of St. Martin
Description
From the tower of Basel's oldest parish church, St. Martin, the painter leads the viewer's gaze to the right into the garden of the house Zum Eptingerhof (today the State Archives, Martinsgasse 2) and to the Blue House (Reichensteiner Hof, Rheinsprung 16). The Middle Bridge and Kleinbasel on the other bank of the Rhine can also be seen.
