Oval copper form in the shape of a melon
Description
Copper molds in the shape of a halved melon were among the popular models in the 19th century. Melons were precious fruits imported from southern regions or grown in greenhouses. The melon-shaped baking mold was used to bake a sweet dough, but it did not contain anything of a melon.
