Oval copper form in the shape of a melon
Description
Copper molds in the shape of a halved melon were among the popular models in the 19th century. Melons were precious fruits imported from southern regions or grown in greenhouses. The melon shaped baking mold was used to bake a sweet dough, but it did not contain anything of a melon.
