Octagonal equatorial sundial
Description
Johann Nepomuk Schrettegger married the daughter of the famous sundial maker Andreas Vogler (c. 1730-1800) in Augsburg in 1797. He was the last Augsburg compass and sundial maker. Besides numerous octagonal equatorial sundials, he also made several in square form.
