Niggi Münch and Boppi Keller

Description

The two friends Niggi (Johann Jakob) Münch and Boppi (David) Keller were people on the fringes of Basel society who had found care in the hospital. On the streets of Basel, carelessly and old-fashionedly dressed and usually walking hand in hand, they were a familiar sight. The popular Zizenhausen group of the two Basel "originals" is based on the watercolor by Hieronymus Hess that can be seen on the wall next to it.
