Inn sign "Café Ecklin
The coffee proprietor Jakob Ecklin is recorded in the historical land register in 1775 as the owner of the café at Blumenrain 12, near the hotel "Les trois rois", in Basel. The coffee sign advertises a pot with a tap, as it is exhibited in a comparable form - but made of brass.
