Imperial couple monstrance
Description
The tower monstrance was created for the relics of the imperial couple Henry and Cunegonde, which were received from Bamberg in 1347. The two saints therefore stand on the side pillars. The enamel paintings in the eight windows of the tower depict St Paul, the archangel Gabriel, Mary, St Peter, Magdalene, Dorothea, Benedict (?) and a saint with a book and palm branch. The eight medallions on the base depict scenes from the life of the imperial couple.
