The view from Kleinbasel shows the old Rheinbrücke after its renovation in 1858. In 1899 the decision was taken to rebuild the bridge. On the hill to the left the Martinskirche can be seen, a little further back the Peterskirche. The grand palace of the Hotel Dreikönige, newly constructed between 1842 and 1844, is adjacent to the old trade hall.
