Gold enamel watch

Description

Engraved metal dials, here in gold, are common in this style on early watches with minute hands: outside is the minute indication in fives from 5 to 60 in Arabic numerals and inside is the hour indication from I to XII in Roman numerals. Here, the center of the dial features a depiction of Venus and Cupid in enamel painting, and the back of the case features a "Caritas Romana", also in fine enamel painting.
