Gold enamel clock
Description
The case of this smallest known clock by the Huaud brothers bears a finely painted depiction of the Holy Family. The Huauds' signature is in a yellow cartouche of the border painting below the baby Jesus. The movement, which is about 20 years younger, is signed on the dial: "Abraham Colomby". The two hands indicate the hours in Roman numerals (I-XII), the minutes are indicated with dashes or in five-minute units with Arabic numerals. The different dating of case and movement testify that a certain number of cases were used and fitted with movements even after the death of the Huauds.
