Folding fan with medallion of Alexander and Serafina Cagliostro and scenes from their life
Description
The left scene on the fan shows Cagliostro (1743-1795) as a traveling physician setting out for the Orient and Asia. In the right scene, he appears as a physician whose miracles are praised in the inscription above and below the medallions. In the center are the portraits of Cagliostro and his wife Seraphina Felichiani (1754-1794), who always accompanied him both on his travels and during his stays in the highest circles of Europe.
