Flowers on the table

Most of the tableware of the Strasbourg manufactory under the direction of Paul Hannong and - from 1762 - his son Joseph are decorated with floral designs. There may be single flowers and bouquets of flowers, very precisely painted flowers or very loosely and freely applied flower arrangements. According to the effort required in the production, the prices varied greatly. Many tableware pieces were offered in three price levels. In addition to magnificently painted plates, sugar shakers, glass and bottle coolers were also part of the decoration of the table.
