Belt Purses Full of Bits and Bobs
Description
Thousands of grave goods from the 5th–7th century tell us that men in those days wore carried handbags in the form of purses attached to their belts. These purses often had ornate clasps and provided a repository for all those things that men of the world hold dear, such as flints, knives, scissors, and personal collectibles like old coins, fossils and shells.
