Watch in the form of a lyre with automatic

Description

This richly beaded miniature work of art displays the time in the upper almond-shaped glazed section: a dial for the seconds at the top, one for the hours at the bottom, with the wheel balance visibly moving in between when the clock is in operation. The hinged cover in the lower part of the clock is painted with three putti playing music in fine enamel. Underneath is an automaton with six movements for a shepherd scene with shepherdess, two sheep, drinking dog, mill wheel and water simulated by a cut rotating glass rod. Extraordinarily remarkable is the miniaturization of all the components.
