Objekt 1
Wall clock with balance wheel
Description
This early example of a clock of flat frame construction served as a doorman's clock and originally had a bell on the side as an alarm clock. This was activated by inserting a pin into a hole in the alarm disc, located inside the dial ring, and could tell the doorman the time to ring. The front side with the clock ring is lily-finished and painted at the top and bottom. The hours are indicated in Roman numerals (I-XII) by a single hand. The movement is wound by weights.
