Description
The view illustrates the St. Jacob's Festival in 1824 on the anniversary of the Battle of St. Jacob in 1444, the occasion of the inauguration of the first St. Jacob's monument. The last phase of the festive ceremony on the battlefield of St. Jacob is captured: people sang and drank in tents until the evening.
