Veilleuse
Description
Ceramic case with small lidded tureen and opening for a night light. The flame also serves to keep the food warm in the attached vessel. The veilleuse is painted with Chinese scenes, one of them after an engraving by the Augsburg artist Elias Beck (1679-1747).
