Two tureens in the shape of partridges
Description
The partridges, designed as lidded boxes, form an attractive decoration of the table. The dainty birds stand on base plates that suggest their habitat; however, the leaves primarily serve to support them. Partridge dishes were highly valued as tasty and fortifying food.
