Two portrait busts on a pedestal cabinet
Description
The two busts depict the painter Ludwig Adam Kelterborn (1811- 1878) and his wife Auguste Märklin (1816-1894). Kelterborn was Arnold Böcklin's (1827-1901) first drawing teacher. In addition to his teaching activities, he created numerous genre paintings under the influence of the Nazarenes and Hieronymus Hess (1799-1850).
