Stick clock
Description
The case made of black stained oak and fruitwood, partially carved and with rich pewter inlays, bears the signature of the Basel ebenist "Johannes Tschudy à Basle". The verge movement is without signature, but is possibly by Michel Gugelmann (1669-1723/24), who is documented to have worked with Tschudy several times.
