Objekt 12

Self-striking clock

Description

The frequently changing spelling of the name (Keizer, Kreuzer, Kreyzer, Kreitzerer, Kreutzerer, etc.) as well as the multiple occurrence of the first name Conrad (or Konrad) make a precise clarification of the relationship of this Augsburg watchmaking family difficult, so that the relatively numerous surviving works cannot be clearly assigned to a master. For the clocks hallmarked and signed with "C. K.", Christoph Kreizer would also be a possibility in addition to the three or four Conrad Kreizers.
