Rudolf Stueckelberger (1749-1827) was a Basel original. Every day at exactly 1:00 p.m. he hiked into the Margraviate and, following a fixed order, took his "Scheppli" (Basel German for "little pint," meaning a glass of wine or beer) each time in a different village.
