Portrait medallion of Margaretha Merian (born 1796)
Description
The sitter was the daughter of the carpenter Friedrich Merian-Pfannenschmid (1767-1809) and the sister of the brewer Emanuel Merian-Falkner (1795-1856) and the building inspector Amadeus Merian. in 1825 she married the pewter and bell founder Johann Jakob Schnegg (d. 1898).
