Description
The donor's father, Emil Ehret (d. c. 1943) received the clock in 1929 as a gift for 25 years of work in the Hoffmann-La Roche company. The place of manufacture of the movement and the case cannot be determined, probably France or western Switzerland. Hermann Guggenbühl-Merian used "his" dials as a dealer.
