Pocket watch

Description

Since the end of the 18th century and in the 19th century, numerous "fake Breguet watches" were made that did not come from the ateliers of Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823). In this context, any pocket watch with a serial number above 5500 is considered a fake, as is any 19th century pocket watch with the signature "Breguet à Paris". Thus, the authenticity of a Breguet watch must always be verified in detail. This watch bears the signature "Breguet N 4997".
