Papier-mâché doll: "Sonneberg baptized"
Description
The "Sonneberger Täufling", as it was called after its place of origin, developed into a bestseller in the second half of the 19th century. Its success was primarily due to its toddler-like proportions. The Sonneberger Täufling is a precursor of the later baby dolls.
