Night shade
Description
In the separated alcove (bed niche) there is a night screen painted with a seascape illuminated by the full moon with an ancient temple ruin. In front of the temple ruin a woman kneels in front of an urn. The night shade comes from the Rollerhof in Basel. Night screens were used to shield the night light and were usually located in children's rooms.
