Model for a box stove
Description
On the back there are two cartouches with the inscription "Gott Gib Gnatt [Grace]". This shows that the kiln models were often made in the same workshops that produced small-sized earthenware objects such as pens, jugs, clock holders, water basins and tankards.
Object description
Basel or surroundings, beginning of the 18th century.
Earthenware patronized with light engobe, green transparent glaze.
