Gold enamel clock with over case
Description
Created by Benjamin Wolverstone I or II in London, the clock with a piqué overcase on shagreen leather features a gold enamel painting with flowers on the exterior, and a view of the village of Therwil near Basel on the interior, after an engraving by Matthäus Merian (1593-1650).
