Gold enamel clock

Description

This cross-shaped clock is a great treasure with its fine enamel painting and cut rock crystal lid set in gold. Inside, the case is painted with black ornaments on a blue background. There is the signature "P. Huaud pinxit à Genève", which is possibly the signature of Pierre Huaud I (1612-1680). The back plate is signed "Noé Rousseau", this is the son of Jean Rousseau II and a great uncle of the philosopher.
