Furnace models
Description
Kiln models were probably made primarily as demonstration models. Presumably, the client and the kiln builder used such models to discuss the details of the order and the execution. This is also indicated by the details of a technical nature: most models have two cut-out openings on the back, the larger one for the fuel, the smaller one for the smoke outlet. Occasionally, there are modelled rails for a sliding door or devices for separate heating of the stove seat. Some models of stoves found a secondary use in dollhouses.
