Four upholstered chairs with three flat pillars as vertical struts
Description
The type of four chairs from the late Biedermeier period with the three pilaster-like vertical struts in the backrest can be seen in the interior picture exhibited here in the hallway. It is a detail of a living room in which the Hieronymus and Susanna Bischoff-Bischoff family and their son Hieronymus Emil were painted by Rudolf Braun (1788-1857) in their house in the St. Alban suburb in 1832.
