Four monks
Description
Anton Sohn's anti-clerical figures were especially successful in France and Belgium, but also in other Protestant areas. They show Capuchins whose behavior is strongly against the monastic rules. This criticism is further exacerbated by the Latin texts on the pedestal, which are reminiscent of prayer excerpts.
