Folding sundial

Description

The Nuremberg address book lists a compass maker Friedrich Negelein in 1857, but little is known about him. Some museums, located mainly in the English-speaking parts of the world, have sundials by Negelein. The clocks were probably produced for the English-speaking world, as indicated by the polar altitude index on the back. They were signed NEGELEIN at Nuremberg in Bavaria.
